Whiteley Resident Estate Inspection

We are currently piloting Resident Estate Inspections in the Whiteley area.  The approach that we have adopted has been previously piloted and is successfully running in several other areas and for other housing providers, such as First Wessex, Saxon Weald, Solihull and Westlea Housing.  The format of estate inspections is the same for both housing officers and residents with both using the same inspection forms.  This is to ensure ease of comparison and cosistency of approach.  Discussions are underway to develop resident led recruitment of additional residents as Estate Inspectors int he future.  A first successful inspection has already been carried out by residents living at Whiteley and whose contribution was much valued.
