Christmas cheer from the Resident Involvement Review Group

The Resident Involvement Review Group has recently worked with the Community Involvement team to organise a Christmas event for residents. The event was to say a big thank you for all the hard work residents have put into supporting Swaythling Housing Society. Our motto is ‘building communities, not just homes’. It could be very difficult to do this without the support of our residents. We hope that residents who have been involved and seen the positive outcomes will encourage other people to become involved with the Society.

On Thursday 3rd December at the Southampton Novotel hotel a group of 50 residents came along for an evening of fun and games.

Representatives were invited from groups and panels such as the customer core group, disability panel, environmental improvements panel, design panel and editorial panel. Representatives from residents associations and projects we have supported were also invited.

The evening was hosted by the chair of the resident involvement group and included a fun game and a quiz with prizes! Residents enjoyed a three course dinner and presentation.

‘Tonight has been very enjoyable. It provided an opportunity to get to know the other residents on the table and exchange views'
