TSA National Conversation

TSA National Conversation - Hampshire Residents Forum

The Hampshire Residents Forum organised the second consultation phase of the TSA National Conversation.  The event attracted over 100 residents and was presented by TPAS.  (Tenant Participatory Advisory Service).  Residents looked at the findings from the first phase and how they would like to see the key standards developed. Answers were collected by TPAS and will be fed back to the TSA.

The Hampshire Residents Forum has also submitted an application to the TSA Excellence Fund to develop a Local Standards Pilot scheme for the Forum.  The pilot scheme would enable residents to look and contrast areas of best practice for involvement, communication to residents and highlight value for money.  The forum would also like to develop a resident auditors regime across Hampshire.  This would involve current resident audits being discussed at the forum, highlighting best practice and adopting a local standard for resident auditors.  The Forum would also provide benchmarking information to each on a range of service areas.

Swaythling residents were amongst 120 residents invited to take part in a local consultation event as part of a 'National Conversation'.  12 housing associations took part in the Basingstoke event on 5 March 2009.

The event focused on consulting with residents on the standard of service they receive from us and asking what they'd like to see done better or differently.

The keynote speaker, Peter Marsh, Chief Executive of the Tenant Services Authority, was keen to hear the views of residents. This was also encouraged by the Tenants Participary Advisory Service (TPAS) who held an interactive workshop session.
