At just 12 years old, Ella Mae has already won a host of medals and trophies and is hoping to represent Team GB at the Olympics one day.
Ella’s love of trampolining started at the age of 3 when her mum, Sue, introduced her to it. She now trains five days a week for up to four and a half hours some days. Training is critical for competitions, as everyone has to do one set routine and one voluntary routine; so learning new moves is essential to gain more points at competitions.
To date, Ella’s greatest achievement was being picked for the Great British trampolining team when she was 10. She was the youngest of the group and came 24th out of 42! She’s also been awarded two lots of funding from the Radian Kick Start fund to help her develop her talent as a gymnast.
Ella’s excited about the Olympics and can’t wait to watch the trampolining. We’re right behind her in her hopes to compete in 2016 and 2020!
