Tea Dance Fun!

tea_dance_2010What better way to celebrate learning a new skill then to get your dancing shoes on!  Recently Swaythling Housing and First Wessex got together with funding from Hampshire County Council and arranged a Tea Dance afternoon for older residents from our Sheltered Schemes.  The event was part of the ‘Hampshire Learning Revolution’ and the aim was to promote learning in the county and to let residents know that they are never too old to learn something new.  The Eastleigh Mayor attended the event and encouraged everyone to join in!

Residents were invited along to learn Ballroom, Modern Jive and Line Dancing.  Tea and cakes were served in the intervals.  Over 100 residents attended the event, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
