Southampton Shared Ownership Event

When we carried out our Impact Assessment last year, shared ownership residents told us that we needed to do more of relevance to them. As a result we held a shared owners event at Southampton Civic Centre on 24 February 2009.

There was an excellent turnout of residents, who asked questions from "How can I buy more shares in my property?" to "What does my service charge pay for?". Housing officers, Shared Ownership team members, and mortgage advisors were all on hand to help and give advice.  Giv Thornton and Jade Missen from the Community Involvement team organised the event and spoke with home owners about getting involved with Swaythling.
