Santa Claus visits Amesbury

Swaythling Housing society has recently worked alongside Archers Gate Residents Association, Amesbury Town Council, and the Bowman Centre to provide Christmas fun for Amesbury residents.

On Sunday 13th December 2009 the Christmas festivities kicked off with The Sound Express Road Show who provided music and entertainment to over fifty children. The Rotary Club then sent Father Christmas and his Sleigh along to give chocolate coins to all the children.

The Amesbury St Mellor and The Woodford Valley Church Choirs worked well with The Amesbury Town Band to combine for the evening Christmas Music Sing-along.

Residents also enjoyed Mulled Wine, and the Ladies from Amesbury Christmas Market provided a yummy Tea and Cakes service. The event was a huge success, and was enjoyed by all those who attended.
