Resident Auditors Project

We are about to part in our fourth resident audit inspection.  This year resident auditors will focus on Estate Management procedures.  Drum, Windsor and Kingfisher HVHS are the other organisations taking part, and will be sending residents to Swaythling on 7 and 13 October.

In June 2008, our resident auditors got together to evaluate us and check that we are providing the best possible service for our customers.  As well as Swaythling Housing residents, the auditors consisted of volunteers from organisations including Hampshire Voluntary, Drum Housing, Windsor Housing and Kingfisher Housing.

The programme started with auditors looking at our repairs service back in 2007 and has progressed to a full audit of how we handle anti-social behaviour.

In May 2008, we trained volunteers through a TPAS (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) course on how to complete an audit and what standards to expect from our anti-social behaviour policies and procedures.  Residents then got together to feedback results and compare these with other inspections.  Recommendations were then implemented by each organisation.
