Residents from Pilgrim Place in Mansbridge set up a Neighbourhood Watch group at the beginning of the year. There main concern was keeping the neighbourhood safe, tidy and friendly. They have also set up events such as litter picking and children’s face painting to keep the community involved.
There Life Improvement grant to install D rings in the cut ways around the estate was approved which will slow down and prevent cyclists and motorcyclists from using the cut ways as a short cut. This will ultimately aim to make the area much safer for pedestrians.
The Neighbourhood Watch’s next event hopes to be a Halloween themed event to prevent nuisance callers on Halloween night. To find out more information about the Halloween event, check the ‘what’s on’ page on our website.
