Kick Start Fund helps Luke

Luke Salter, 17, applied for Radian’s Kick Start Fund and was successful in achieving £250.00 to contribute towards the cost of drum lessons.

The money received paid for a total of 10 x 1 hour drum lessons which helped Luke to improve his drumming ability. “I’ve learnt more in the 10 lessons than I have in 2 years of playing the drums,” says Luke who is keen to pursue his passion and interest in drumming. “The lessons have inspired me to keep playing and the teacher listened to what I wanted to learn.” 

Helen Humphries, Community Project Worker, helped with Luke’s application and said “the fund opens a number of doors for youths who would like to develop a talent or interest but the cost is too much. Radian provides financial support through the fund to allow the youths to participate in their chosen activity.”
