How are you?

Residents of Fullerton Place with Neighbourhood Officer, Hayley AyresNeighbourhood Officer, Hayley Ayres and Community Development Officer, Jade Polhill have recently been door knocking the 101 new households in the Fullerton Place development in Portswood. The development houses 275 people made up with various different tenures. This area used to be the site for hardware store, Wickes. The door knock was organised as part of the post lettings visits to check that the community have settled in and that they are happy in their new homes.

On the door knock residents reported issues such as broken communal doors and raised issues with parking and prevention of antisocial behaviour. The Neighbourhood Officer is working hard to try and resolve the issues raised.

Residents were also given the chance to get involved in Radians community involvement service and several residents have now applied to become Area Panel Representatives. Following the door knock the ‘Edible Balconies’ project is being developed and whilst we were door knocking it was noted that many residents had started to grow their own vegetables and herbs on the balconies.
