Over 300 people turned out at a 'welcome' event for new residents of Dowd's Farm held at Wellstead Primary School. So far, Swaythling has built 80 flats and houses on the Dowd's Farm development at Hedge End, Eastleigh.
Swaythling got together with other local agencies to organise the event and give people a chance to meet some of their new neighbours. Future residents also had the chance to discuss ideas for the new community centre and art in the park. Councillor Derek Pretty, Mayor of Eastleigh, welcomed everyone and students from Wildern Secondary School provided the entertainment with music and dancing performances.
