In April 2009 we invited our young residents in Fareham to two fun-filled activity days at Whiteley. The activity days held over the Easter half term, also gave us the chance to talk to parents.
The Circus Skills workshop on 15 April was very popular and tested young people and adults alike. Nearly everyone tried stilt walking which proved hard to master. Once clever young lady managed to do two things at once!
It was chance to take part in a Nature Trail Quiz on 17 April. There was also the opportunity to make bird feeders. If you are in Whiteley look out for low flying fat birds as we think they are going to do very well this spring from all the effort put in by local young people!
Chris Jenkins, one of our residents, said "It is good to see children channelling their energies in a positive direction".
