Residents from Orchard Place at Whiteley met with Community Development Officer Giv Thornton, local Councillor Sean Woodward and Fareham Borough Council to talk about having a Neighbourhood Charter for the development. They decided it was a good idea as it would set out minimum service standards for the neighbourhood and also give residents contact details for local representatives for the Residents' Association and Neighbourhood Watch.
Mary Ricketts, Chair of Whiteley Orchard Place Residents' Association said that early intervention last year from Swaythling Housing, and the subsequent work that had been done with the community had helped to integrate residents and nip anti social behaviour problems in the bud. Swaythling will continue to work with local residents and support them with putting together their Neighbourhood Charter.
