Residents have transformed Fullerton Place, previously a Wickes DIY store, into an urban farm.
With the help from the grounds maintenance team at Radian and a supply of fresh seedlings and bright coloured pots from Jobs Cottage Nursery in Durley, the balconies and gardens are blooming with tomatoes, salads and an assortment of vegetables. The balconies look good enough to eat!
This new scheme is being officially opened on the 24th June. Residents’ edible balconies will take centre stage for visitors on the day. There are also free seedlings for those who attend!
This urban farm shows that just because you live in flats in the city centre, doesn't mean you can't grow delicious fruit and vegetables. Think of the savings on the shopping bill too!
