Ashurst Park Residents Group at Weston Southampton
Well done Ashurst Park RA! The Group received £420 from the Childrens Fund to put on taster sessions at Chamberlayne Leisure Centre. These sessions took place every Saturday for ten weeks with an extra session at Easter. All sessions were free and activities included basketball, badminton, circuit training/mixed activities, trampolining, gymnastics and disco dancing.
Feedback we received .
Erin aged 5 said I really enjoyed basket ball, trampolining and gymnastics but found the badminton too hard.
Brydie aged 7 said It was really good.
Floyd aged 8 said I loved trampolining and mixed activities but would have liked football as well.
Antony aged 4 said I liked the bouncy castle.

Leanne said I never thought the courses at the leisure centre would be in our price range but now we know they are this has helped us to give the kids something to do.
Susan said We had never been in the leisure centre before but because of these activities the kids have now joined judo and are looking at other activities.
