A resident from Hampshire called police after somebody tried to gain access to her property. The man claimed to be from Drum (one of the old landlords who make up Radian) and produced an Identification (ID) which the quick-witted resident realised was not genuine.
She shut the door on the man and immediately reported the incident to Crimestopppers. A man was arrested on 23 June. He had apparently tried to gain access to six other properties.
Always remember to check the ID credentials of anyone who tries to gain access to your property and always take a close look at it. This is your right! If they just hold up what appears to be an ID card, insist on taking a closer look at it!
All Radian staff are instructed to show their ID card when they arrive at your property. They won’t mind waiting if you want to ring us on 0300 123 1 567 to check them out. Like the lady from Hampshire, if you have the slightest doubt, then don’t let the person in.
