Poole Harbour was the destination for a summer day out for residents from Oak Lodge and Chestnut Court in Bordon, Hampshire. They had a booked lunch and then some wandered round the shops. Others looked at the tall ships and the boats in the harbour. Highlight of the day was seeing a flypast of the Red Arrows RAF aerobatic team.
Oak Lodge and Chestnut Court residents also had a garden party. Maxine Ford, scheme manager, and Brenda Rennie, housekeeper, laid on a lunch of rice salad and pasta dishes with lots of nice salads. Two lady dancers entertained everyone.
Thanks to Ruby Jarvis, resident, for the story.
